About Ads
This app displays ads via Google AdMob, including a banner at the bottom of the screen. Free AI matches are limited to 5 per day; once that limit is reached, watching a rewarded video ad unlocks 3 additional matches. The break description you enter is sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate your match and is not permanently stored on our servers.
Roadmap
- Photo-based diagnosis: upload a picture of the break for AI to suggest a technique
- Seasonal and tea-ceremony pairing suggestions for repaired pieces
- Step-by-step photo/video guides for each technique
- Additional language versions
Why This App
Kintsugi treats breakage as part of an object's history rather than something to hide - a distinctly Japanese answer to a universal moment: the thing you loved just broke. But outside Japan, that idea rarely goes further than a single quote on a poster. Kintsugi Mend starts from the question anyone can answer - what broke, and how - and turns it into a real, technique-specific answer you could actually act on, so the craft becomes something usable the next time something breaks, not just a nice idea.
