Kintsugi Mend

SEADICE ("we", "us", "our") sets out this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of personal information in the iOS app "Kintsugi Mend" (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide (Stored On-Device)

The App uses the free-text description of "what broke and how" that you enter to generate a match. This information is stored, together with the match result, only on your device (via local app storage) and is not permanently stored on our servers.

• The break-description text you enter
• The AI-generated match result (technique name, explanation) and your match history

Sending Data to AI

To provide the matching feature, the App sends the break-description text you enter to Anthropic's Claude API, which generates the kintsugi technique match. The submitted content is used only to process that matching request and is not permanently stored on our servers. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle data sent to their API.

Automatically Collected Information

The App uses Google AdMob's advertising SDK, which may collect the following information needed to deliver ads.

• Device type, OS version, and language settings
• Advertising identifier (IDFA)
• App usage data (ad impressions and taps)
• Approximate location (estimated from IP address)

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the App's features (kintsugi matching, history storage, etc.)
• To deliver targeted advertising through AdMob
• To investigate and fix bugs and improve the App

3. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases.

• Sending your input to Anthropic (Claude API) to provide the AI matching feature
• With your consent
• Where required by law

5. Data Storage and Deletion

Your input and match history are stored only on your device. To delete this data:

• Uninstalling the App deletes all data stored on your device

To request deletion of data collected by AdMob, please contact Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

6. About the Match Results

The kintsugi repair-technique matches provided by this App are entertainment and general-reference content based on traditional Japanese craft practices. They do not guarantee the safety, food-safety, or structural suitability of any actual repair. Before repairing a valuable, food-contact, or fragile item, please confirm the appropriate method and materials for your specific situation, ideally with a qualified restorer.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under 13. Users under 13 should use the App only with a parent or guardian's consent.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy as needed. Material changes will be announced within the App or on this page.
