Haiku Muse

SEADICE ("we", "us", "our") sets out this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of personal information in the iOS app "Haiku Muse" (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide (Stored On-Device)

The App uses the free-text moment or scene description that you enter to generate a haiku and its kigo explanation. This information is stored, together with the generated haiku, only on your device (via local app storage) and is not permanently stored on our servers.

• The moment or scene text you enter
• The AI-generated haiku, kigo explanation, and related poet notes, and your generation history
• Entries saved to the Muse Log

Sending Data to AI

To provide the composition feature, the App sends the moment or scene text you enter to Anthropic's Claude API, which generates the haiku. The submitted content is used only to process that generation request and is not permanently stored on our servers. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle data sent to their API.

Automatically Collected Information

The App uses Google AdMob's advertising SDK, which may collect the following information needed to deliver ads.

• Device type, OS version, and language settings
• Advertising identifier (IDFA)
• App usage data (ad impressions and taps)
• Approximate location (estimated from IP address)

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the App's features (haiku composition, Muse Log storage, etc.)
• To deliver targeted advertising through AdMob
• To investigate and fix bugs and improve the App

3. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases.

• Sending your input to Anthropic (Claude API) to provide the AI composition feature
• With your consent
• Where required by law

5. Data Storage and Deletion

Your input, generation history, and Muse Log entries are stored only on your device. To delete this data:

• Uninstalling the App deletes all data stored on your device

To request deletion of data collected by AdMob, please contact Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

6. About the Generated Haiku

The haiku, kigo explanations, and poet notes provided by this App are educational and reference content based on documented kigo/saijiki convention and classical Japanese poetry. They are not a substitute for guidance from a professional translator, literature scholar, or Japanese-language instructor, and historical and cultural details are presented as general reference and simplified for a casual audience.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under 13. Users under 13 should use the App only with a parent or guardian's consent.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy as needed. Material changes will be announced within the App or on this page.
