Most kanji apps on the App Store are built for serious study: spaced-repetition decks, JLPT drills, stroke-order quizzes. Kanji Kokoro is something different. There's no deck to grind through and no test waiting at the end — just one simple question: what's on your mind right now? Describe a word, a feeling, or a moment from your life in your own words — starting over after a hard year, the quiet after the kids left for college, a grandmother's kindness — and Claude AI, playing the role of a Japanese calligraphy master (shodo sensei), chooses the single real kanji character that best captures it. You'll see its reading, its core dictionary meaning, and a short, warm story breaking down its radical components and explaining exactly why this character fits what you described. Every kanji you discover is saved to your own personal Kanji Collection, so you can look back on the characters that have matched your life so far. A separate Radicals tab is a standalone reference to twelve common kanji building blocks — person, water, tree, heart, hand, and more — each with an example character, useful to browse any time, with no login and no lessons required. Whether you're studying Japanese and want a break from flashcards, you love calligraphy and etymology, or you simply want a small, reflective daily ritual, Kanji Kokoro turns "what's on your mind" into a single character worth remembering.

本アプリはGoogle AdMobによる広告を表示します。画面下部のバナー広告に加え、1日の無料生成回数（5回）を超えた場合はリワード広告の視聴で追加生成（+3回）が可能です。漢字生成機能のためユーザーが入力したテキストのみをAnthropic社のClaude APIに送信しますが、氏名・連絡先等を特定できる情報は送信しないようご案内しています。

なぜこのアプリが必要か

海外の漢字学習アプリの多くはJLPT対策やSRSフラッシュカードなど、本格的な暗記学習を前提としています。しかし「漢字そのものの美しさや成り立ちを楽しみたい」「自分の今の気持ちを表す一字と出会いたい」というカジュアルな需要には、既存のアプリはほとんど応えていません。一言入力するだけでAIがその場で漢字を選び、物語として語ってくれる体験があることで、漢字学習の"ドリル疲れ"を、日々の小さな内省の楽しみに変えます。
