About Ads
This app displays ads via Google AdMob, including a banner at the bottom of the screen. Free AI generations are limited to 5 per day; once that limit is reached, watching a rewarded video ad unlocks 3 additional generations. The annoyance description you enter is sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate your Chindogu and is not permanently stored on our servers.
Roadmap
- AI-generated illustration sketch to accompany each invented Chindogu
- Weekly community-annoyance prompt with a shareable result card
- A curated gallery of real historical Chindogu from Kawakami's original catalog
- Additional language versions
Why This App
Most "invention idea generator" apps either take themselves too seriously, proposing things that sound like real product pitches, or produce generic random-noun-mashup jokes with no coherent logic behind them. Chindogu Lab does neither: it is grounded in a real, documented Japanese design philosophy with an actual rulebook, so every invention it proposes has to justify itself against the same Ten Tenets a real Chindogu inventor would use, turning a five-second annoyance into a small, structured piece of absurdist design thinking.
